🚨 Interim Opportunity - Payroll Manager 🚨
📍 Surrey (initial on-site training) | 💻 Fully Remote Thereafter
📅 6 Month Contract (potential to go Permanent)
💰 Up to £50,000 FTE (hourly rate equivalent)
We're supporting a well-established organisation in the education sector to appoint an experienced Payroll, Pensions & Onboarding Manager on an interim basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on specialist who can take ownership of payroll and pensions operations while supporting the onboarding of new entities during a period of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Oversee pensions administration
* Support onboarding of new organisations, including systems and process setup
* Provide expert guidance and training to stakeholders
* Manage statutory reporting (e.g. year-end, gender pay gap, ONS returns)
* Drive process improvements and maintain robust controls
What we're looking for:
✔ Proven experience managing payroll & pensions in a complex environment
✔ Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance
✔ Experience onboarding new entities / TUPE highly desirable
✔ Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
✔ Comfortable working autonomously in a remote setting
Additional Info:
* Initial travel to Surrey required for onboarding/training
* Fully remote thereafter
* Immediate/short notice candidates preferred
