Teacher of Religious Studies
Location: Croxley Green, Rickmansworth
Contract Type: Part-Time, 0.5 FTE – Maternity Cover (up to 12 months)
Salary: MPS/UPS including Fringe Allowance
Start Date: September 2025
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Religious Studies Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school. This role offers the chance to inspire students in their exploration of religion, ethics, and philosophy, supporting their academic and personal development. The successful candidate will teach Religious Studies across Key Stage 3 and 4 and will play an integral part in maintaining the high standards of the department.
About the Religious Studies Department:
The Religious Studies department fosters critical thinking and encourages students to reflect on moral and philosophical questions through a broad and engaging curriculum. At Key Stage 3, students study religion once a week, exploring a variety of faiths and worldviews. At GCSE, students follow AQA Christianity and Islam as part of an optional course. Statutory Religious Education at Key Stage 4 is delivered through focused Core RS days during the academic year. The department is proud of its consistently strong results and emphasis on thoughtful, inclusive discussion.
