Role overview
Introduction to the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our Health Business Group as a Legal Administration Assistant. This role provides exposure to legal case handling and has been a stepping stone for many to progress to qualified solicitors.
Reporting to the team leader, the Legal Administration Assistant will support solicitors with client management, file management, and compliance. There may be opportunities for secondment with a client, based at an NHS Trust in Warrington.
The role requires adherence to data protection requirements established by the Health Business Group.
Introduction to the team:
The Health Litigation team specialises in defendant clinical negligence claims, primarily for the NHS and other clients like the Medical Protection Society. Recognised as an award-winning team, notably named Legal Services Provider of the Year by the Health Service Journal.
Key responsibilities:
* Supporting data coordination for clients
* File management and compliance
* Record archiving and recovery
* Preparing case bundles and documenting protocols
* Creating medical record chronologies
* Faxing, scanning, photocopying, filing
* Providing support and advice to users
* Hand deliveries and printing attachments
* Answering calls
* Legal work on files with potential to progress to a paralegal role
