Position Overview
The Service Operations Practitioner, Asset Management is an ITIL aligned role responsible for the accuracy, governance, and lifecycle management of operational assets and configuration data across EMEA. The role ensures ServiceNow remains the single source of truth for asset information, supporting financial accuracy, change impact assessment, audit readiness, and informed operational decision‑making. The practitioner provides day‑to‑day administration of EMEA asset, change, incident, and planned maintenance records, ensuring they progress efficiently through defined workflows and governance controls. In addition, the role provides first line system support to colleagues working in data centres and centralised teams, publishes scheduled operational reports to stakeholders, and manages operational static data within ServiceNow, enabling consistency, traceability, and effective support across the Business Operations function.
Essential Job Functions
Own the day‑to‑day administration of EMEA asset and configuration records within ServiceNow, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and traceability throughout the asset lifecycle (onboarding, updates, transfers, and decommissioning).
CMDB Governance & Data Quality
Maintain CMDB hygiene through regular validation, reconciliation, and remediation of data quality issues, ensuring ServiceNow remains the single source of truth for operational assets.
Operational Record Management
Administer and support EMEA asset, change, incident, and planned maintenance records, ensuring they progress efficiently through defined workflows and governance controls.
Change, Incident & Maintenance Enablement
Ensure asset data effectively supports change enablement, incident resolution, and planned maintenance activities by providing accurate and up‑to‑date configuration and dependency information.
Operational Data Management
Collect, validate, enter, and maintain operational static data within ServiceNow to support reporting, audit readiness, and decision‑making.
Reporting & Dashboards
Produce and publish scheduled asset and configuration reports, dashboards, audit‑ready evidence packs, and month‑end operational statistics for stakeholders across Vantage.
System Support
Provide first‑line ServiceNow system support to colleagues working in data centres and centralised teams, with a primary focus on asset and CMDB functionality.
Finance & Commercial Support
Work closely with Finance to support asset‑related cost tracking, depreciation, billing accuracy, and financial reconciliation.
UAT & Continuous Improvement
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for ServiceNow enhancements and releases and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives impacting asset management processes.
