Responsibilities
* Providing administrative support to a number of committees and members.
* Preparing and writing reports, including statistical information.
* Taking accurate and detailed minutes of meetings.
* Actively supporting the overview and scrutiny function and contributing to the administration and clerking of education admission appeals.
* Contributing to the development and review of policies, procedures and working practices.
* Supporting key projects and contributing to service improvement.
* Managing the Modern.gov Committee Management System as an administrator.
* Researching, understanding and analysing complex information.
* Establishing good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills under pressure.
Qualifications
* Hold a BTEC National/Higher in Public Administration or a relevant degree.
* Have experience working for a local authority.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Computer literate, including experience with e‑mail and Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload.
