Overview
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative & Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines working in our yard with delivering aluminium windows and doors to customer sites. You'll play a vital part in keeping our operations running smoothly – from preparing products and maintaining a tidy, safe yard, to ensuring safe and professional deliveries.
Flexibility is important. Some days may be longer when deliveries are scheduled, while others will be shorter. When you're not out on the road, you'll be supporting the team in the yard.
Key Duties
* Safely load and unload windows, doors, and frames
* Prepare and check orders before dispatch
* Deliver aluminium products to customer sites using a company vehicle
* Carry out vehicle checks and complete basic paperwork
* Keep the yard organised, clean, and safe
* Support the team with general yard and workshop duties when not delivering
* Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Physically fit and reliable – comfortable with manual handling
* A team player with a flexible, positive, can-do attitude
* Forklift licence is a bonus (training available)
* Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
