Job Title: Mental Health Clinician
Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced mental health professionals to join our team as Clinical Assessors. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments to determine the permanence of an applicant's condition and their percentage disablement.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Victims' Payment Board in delivering a clinical assessment service for the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme. You will work with applicants to gather relevant information, analyse and interpret clinical data, and compile comprehensive reports to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct face-to-face and virtual assessments to review medical evidence
2. Seek additional insight and medical evidence from GPs and other healthcare professionals
3. Analyse and interpret clinical information to inform decision-making
4. Compile comprehensive reports detailing history, justification, and conclusion
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience
* Full registration with the NMC without sanction or conditions of practice
* A demonstrable background in mental health or psychiatric speciality
* Strong communication and analytical skills
* Ability to work at pace and manage conversations effectively
