Salary: £33,477 - £36,651 + Bonus

Are you a hands-on mechanical engineer with a knack for keeping heavy machinery running smoothly? This is your chance to join a specialist maintenance team supporting critical crane operations at a major UK manufacturing site.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for the mechanical maintenance, overhaul, and repair of overhead travelling cranes-equipment that plays a vital role in lifting and moving materials across a busy industrial environment. You'll also support general production line maintenance during downtime and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preventive and corrective maintenance on overhead cranes
* Mechanical repairs using schematics and technical drawings
* Fabrication of spare parts and refurbishment of existing machinery
* Safety audits and risk assessments
* Supporting wider site maintenance during downshifts
What We're Looking For:
* Experienced mechanical fitter from steel, construction, or heavy industry
* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Confidence to challenge unsafe practices and improve standards
