About the Role: My client is seeking an experienced P6 Planner with a strong background in civil engineering to support the planning and delivery of major infrastructure and construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and project objectives. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. * Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to create realistic and achievable plans. * Integrate design, procurement, and construction activities into comprehensive programmes. * Monitor and report on project progress, critical path activities, and key milestones. * Carry out schedule risk analysis and scenario planning. * Provide planning input to project change management and impact assessments. * Ensure compliance with company planning procedures and industry best practices. * Attend project meetings and present programme updates to internal and external stakeholders. Requirements: * Proven experience as a P6 Planner in civil engineering or infrastructure projects (e.g., rail, highways, utilities, marine, etc.). * Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. * Solid understanding of construction sequencing, engineering processes, and project lifecycles. * Familiarity with NEC, JCT, or similar contract frameworks. * Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. * Strong reporting and stakeholder engagement abilities. Desirable: * Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. * Experience working with Tier 1 or 2 contractors or major infrastructure clients. * Familiarity with cost/resource-loaded programmes.
