Learning Support Assistant – Fareham
Full Time | Permanent | Immediate Start | £ per hour
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a secondary school in Fareham on a full-time, permanent basis, starting immediately. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting young people with their learning, wellbeing, and development in a school setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEN department to provide tailored support to students, helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs.
* Assist teachers in creating inclusive and engaging lessons.
* Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
* Monitor and track student progress, reporting to teaching staff and SENCO.
* Help maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
* Contribute to wider school life and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous experience working as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar support role.
* Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to meet diverse student needs.
* Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
* Hold relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential).
* Be passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s education.
