Main duties of the job
1. Deliver and participate in the clinical care of patients with frailty conditions, prioritizing health needs and intervening appropriately.
2. Contribute to the Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams (MDTs).
3. Manage sick, unconscious, and unstable patients in an unpredictable environment and workload.
4. Provide advanced and comprehensive assessments based on specialized knowledge.
5. Take direct responsibility for managing allocated patients, including assessment, examination, investigations, diagnosis, treatment, safe management, and appropriate referral or discharge.
6. Order and interpret investigations, laboratory tests, X-rays, and act on results accordingly.
7. Act as an Independent Prescriber, initiating drug therapy in accordance with legal and professional guidelines.
8. Practice at an advanced level with professional autonomy and accountability, adhering to Trust policies and professional codes (NMC, HCPC).
