Support Worker – Oakhill (Residential Service)
Location: Fforest‑fach, Swansea (SA5)
Salary: £12.60 – £13.30 per hour*
Shift patterns: 08:30 am – 9:00 pm and 9:00 pm – 8:30 am.
About Oakhill
Oakhill is a residential service that provides rehabilitation support for individuals with an acquired brain injury. We support up to seven adults in a home setting, focusing on their strengths, interests and dreams, and offering personalised pathways to maximise independence.
Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day support and routine care for residents.
* Promote independence and help residents live fulfilling lives.
* Encourage and support the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
* Assist with health‑care needs, including medication administration and accompanying residents to routine appointments.
* Teach life‑skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
* Support with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
* Offer physical and emotional encouragement and guidance.
* Motivate participants to engage in community activities.
* Work as part of a dedicated and compassionate team.
* Receive full training and ongoing support to succeed in the role.
