About the Role
We're looking for a sh*t hot, socially-savvy copywriter who knows how to turn words into impact. Someone who can write scroll-stopping scripts, shape a brand voice that people actually want to hear from, and help us drive performance across every platform.
This role is focused on elevating copy across all channels and scripting social-first, performance-led content, especially for TikTok, Reels, and paid Meta ads. You'll ensure that copy across Simmer feels consistent, energetic, and human, positioning Simmer as your mate not a business.
You’ll also play a hands-on role in production, working closely with talent on set to make sure lines land naturally, and supporting the wider team to elevate how Simmer speaks across all channels.
How You'll Make An Impact
* Write performance-focused scripts for social ads, UGC-style content, and lo-fi videos. You’ll know how to build a hook, keep attention, and deliver a clear CTA.
* Collaborate with teams across creative, performance, and social to make sure every piece of copy is aligned, effective, and pushing for results.
* Stay on top of platform trends and shifting tone expectations to keep Simmer’s copy fresh and culturally in tune.
* Be present on set to support delivery and make sure talent nails the tone, energy, and flow of the lines.
* Own and elevate Simmer’s copy across every brand touchpoint. This includes paid ads, landing pages, emails, packaging, and beyond.
* Help shape and evolve Simmer’s tone of voice. You’ll ensure it stays consistent, distinct, and relevant across all channels.
* Spot areas across the brand where copy could be stronger. You’ll take initiative to rewrite and refine, raising the overall quality bar.
* Write founder-led content, community posts, and storytelling pieces that feel natural and full of personality.
What You Bring
* A copywriter or scriptwriter with 3+ years of experience in social-first, performance-driven content. Your portfolio includes paid ads, UGC, and brand storytelling.
* A writer who understands how to get results. You know what kind of copy converts and how to tailor your writing to the format and platform.
* Self-starter energy: take full ownership of Simmer’s copy - building systems, setting standards, and raising the bar across the brand.
* A confident collaborator who can work closely with producers, designers, editors, and marketers. You know how to bring ideas to life as a team.
* Someone who understands what performs on TikTok, Reels, and Meta. You write with platform fluency and audience insight.
* A stickler for tone, detail, and clarity. You can make someone care, click, or convert in a sentence.
* A strong advocate for the Simmer voice. You know how to protect it while also knowing when and how to push it.
