As our Legal Counsel, you’ll be part of the Legal working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Senior Legal Counsel (Group). You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.

This role plays a pivotal part in driving our consumer centric strategy. Everything you do will help elevate the DM experience - whether you’re enabling teams, improving processes, influencing decision making, or crafting moments that matter for our consumers around the globe.
You’ll help us push boundaries, raise the bar, and keep the spirit of DM alive in everything we deliver.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Commercial Legal Support: Provide high‑quality, pragmatic advice balancing legal risk and commercial objectives; draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts (technology, SaaS, licensing, outsourcing, procurement, marketing, supply chain and general commercial).
* Stakeholder Partnering & Governance: Act as a trusted legal business partner on contractual, regulatory and risk issues; monitor legal developments and implement training, processes and governance frameworks to embed compliance and enable stakeholder self‑service.
* Global Collaboration & Legal Operations: Work with global commercial legal teams to align on procurement, marketing, technology and cross‑border matters; lead/support development of templates, precedents, know‑how and practice standards, particularly for global marketing; contribute to contract lifecycle and legal service‑delivery improvements.
* Supply Chain & Sustainability Support: Advise on sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, product/packaging compliance, repair/recycling and sustainability‑related agreements, providing timely, practical legal input and partnering with Quality & Compliance and Sustainability teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
* Professional Expertise: Qualified solicitor (UK or similar common‑law jurisdiction) with strong commercial contracting and negotiation experience; proven ability to balance legal risk with commercial priorities and provide strategic, solutions‑focused advice.
* Stakeholder & Operational Skills: Skilled communicator with strong stakeholder‑management capabilities; experienced in supplier sourcing, manufacturing, procurement and technology contracting; highly organised, adaptable and effective in fast‑paced, global environments.
* Mindset & Behaviours: Demonstrates initiative, problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement mindset; resilient and adaptable to shifting priorities; role‑models DM values and contributes to an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
