Business Support is key to the success of our Children’s Services because our Business Support teams are there, making sure things run smoothly, so that our frontline colleagues can deliver for children and families in the community. All that work in the background doesn’t just happen, it takes dedicated colleagues, taking pride in their work and seeing a purpose in the work they are doing.
The post holder will be predominantly office based, although some home working is arranged on a rota basis depending on the demands of the service. This is a fixed-term, full-time position (37 hours per week) to cover maternity leave for 12 months.
Main Responsibilities
Providing core business functions and working closely with team managers, social workers, professionals, and partners.
Attending and servicing statutory meetings across the Districts.
Utilizing Microsoft Office 365 applications effectively.
Chasing workers for paperwork to meet deadlines.
Inputting and cleansing data in our database to ensure accuracy and currency.
Managing administration for statutory meetings, including sending invites, distributing reports, booking rooms, attending meetings, taking notes, and distributing minutes within statutory deadlines.
Providing cover for essential duties such as customer care when required.
The Ideal Candidate
Teamwork, good organizational skills, and IT competency are essential.
NVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent.
IT qualification equivalent to ECDL or similar.
Strong communication skills for interactions via phone, in person, and email.
Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
A passion for delivering excellent service.
