Business Development Manager (UK Retail, South West)

A bit about the job:
We have a fantastic opportunity to work in our Wholesale Client Solutions team selling our solutions to top tier IFA’s, Discretionary Fund Managers and Wealth Management firms in the Southern Region of the UK. Within the role your main responsibilities will be:
1. Assisting in developing a comprehensive sales plan for the Southwest Region
2. Successfully executing the sales plan to bring in new business / clients
3. Transitioning new clients to the Client Services teams whilst collaborating with both the Sales Support and Client Solutions teams to maintain the client relationship.
4. Tracking all activity correctly in sales databases.
5. Ensuring that all sales activity is compliant with the letter and spirit of the Treating Customers Fairly principles.
6. Using Salesforce to update and maintain client records and sale opportunities.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
7. Relevant degree – or equivalent experience.
8. CFA and / or professional marketing qualification desired. IMC /CFA
9. Ability to prospect and close sales.
10. Excellent practical regulatory knowledge – ensuring that sales materials are always legally and ethically compliant in all channels / regions.

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
