Job Title - Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with sub-specialty interest in Facial Deformity or Head and Nack Oncology Surgery and Trauma

MEDICAL
Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
DENTAL
On the GDC Specialist register or within 6-months of eligibility for inclusion.
Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time/ (40 hours per week) post based in St Johns Hospital.
This post is available immediately to join a team of 6 consultants (including this post) at the Regional Maxillofacial Unit based at St Johns Hospital. The unit provides a comprehensive Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery service to the patients of Lothian and the Borders. The catchment population is in the region of 1 million.
You will join the team and provide a comprehensive service in your chosen sub-specialty of Facial Deformity or Head and Neck surgery.
There will also be a commitment to contributing to the Emergency / Trauma service to the population of Lothian and the Borders.
You will be encouraged to develop other interests which are complimentary to the service already delivered by your colleagues. There is scope for development of the paediatric OMFS service and TMJ services within NHS Lothian. There is also scope to contribute to the non-melanoma skin cancer service.
