Overview
2B Social Care have a superb opportunity for a CQC Registered Manager for a new established 20 bed elderly care home based in Tillingham. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, and will be responsible for implementing care plans while ensuring the dignity and comfort of our residents.
Duties
* Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors, fostering a warm and welcoming environment.
* Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health or behaviour.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in residents' conditions to the management team.
* Supervise junior staff members and provide leadership within the team to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
* Engage residents in social activities that promote mental stimulation and physical well-being.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of Elderly Care, including Dementia/ Alzheimer's care, is essential.
* Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plan development is required.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with seniors, families, and team members.
* Leadership qualities with experience in supervising staff and managing teams would be an advantage.
* A compassionate approach to caregiving with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management
* Full UK Driving Licence
Salary
£35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm plus an extensive benefits package.
