Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
* Design, simulate, and implement digital logic circuits using FPGA technologies.
* Develop, refine, and optimise real-time DSP algorithms, including FIR/IIR filters, FFTs, and demodulation techniques.
* Create and manage high-speed digital interfaces such as ADCs, DACs, and PCIe connections.
* Collaborate closely with embedded software, PCB design, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
* Utilise test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers to validate hardware performance.
* Troubleshoot and debug FPGA and DSP hardware and firmware in the lab environment.
* Proven experience in FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog.
* Practical knowledge of DSP algorithm development and optimisation.
* Strong proficiency in simulation and synthesis tools.
* Competence in programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++, or Python.
* Understanding of digital communication systems, RF principles, and interface standards.
* Ability to interpret and debug complex digital hardware and firmware.
* Experience with hardware interfacing for high-speed data transfer.
* Knowledge of embedded processor integration.
* Familiarity with security clearance processes and requirements.
* Prior exposure to defence or aerospace projects.
