SEN Support Worker
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: £90–£115 per day (dependent on experience)

A supportive and inclusive school in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join their team. This SEN Support Worker role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
The successful SEN Support Worker will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties. This role would suit an experienced SEN Support Worker or someone with relevant experience in education, care or support settings looking to further develop their career.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN Support Worker:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
* Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.
* Implementing EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
* Assisting with lesson preparation and adapting learning materials where required.
* Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal SEN Support Worker Will:
* Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
* Be patient, resilient and nurturing in their approach.
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Be confident supporting pupils with varying needs and abilities.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
* Have a fully checkable work history.
This SEN Support Worker role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. All successful applicants must satisfy safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
