Responsibilities / Tasks

Reporting to the UK&I QHSEE Senior Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of established GEA UK&I QHSEE management systems. As a HSE Business Partner, you will support, guide, enable, and drive HSE within GEA divisions and the wider UK&I. The role is partnered to our Milton Keynes facility with c.60% of the week dedicated there, however travel throughout the UK&I on a regular basis will be required.

1. Primarily responsible for HSE Management of the Milton Keynes facility and associated activities, including Project and Service activities, to include new starter inductions and facility risk assessments

2. Effectively communicate and implement established QHSE Procedures within the defined business areas of the organisation.

3. Provide and deliver effective HSE training and support throughout all levels of the organisation.

4. Monitor the effectiveness of the management systems, via internal audits and inspections and provide regular reports and continual improvement plans accordingly.

5. Support third party audit schedules relating to health, safety, environmental and energy requirements

6. Conduct incident and near miss investigations to establish causations and preventative control measures.

7. Develop and improve standard incident reduction programs

8. Maintain defined and agreed internal audit schedules and provide reports

9. Provide HSE support to the Workshop, Projects and Service teams

10. Participate in Country QHSEE Meetings

11. Ensure effective communications and consultation with all Employees relating to QHSE are maintained

12. Assisting the review and updates of the business Risk Assessment Procedures and Safe Systems of Work

13. Support the current QHSHEE Team Objectives, Targets, and Initiatives

Your Profile / Qualifications

14. HSE experience (essential)

15. NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and safety Management (essential)

16. Construction or Engineering Experience (preferred)

17. Sound knowledge and practical experience of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation

18. Experience in performing HSE inspections and audits

19. Industry best practice, ISO and British Standards, preferably within the Integrated Facilities Management sector.

20. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

21. Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office

22. Planning and Organisation skills

23. Information technology skills

24. Being assertive, professional, friendly and approachable.

25. Self-motivating with the ability to plan and schedule tasks
