I’m working with a well-established and expanding environmental consultancy that’s looking to grow its team with the addition of a Senior Ecologist.
You'll be joining a knowledgeable and supportive team delivering ecological services across planning, biodiversity, and environmental impact for a broad range of development clients.
Who I’m looking for:
* Experience delivering ecological consultancy services across a range of projects
* Protected species licences (e.g. bats, dormice, herpetofauna) or working towards them
* Confident in writing technical reports, EcIAs, and ecology chapters for EIAs
* Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain and use of the Defra Metric
* Strong botanical skills and familiarity with UKHab classifications
* Comfortable using QGIS and bat call analysis software
* Ideally a Full Member of CIEEM
What you’ll be working on:
* Protected species and habitat surveys across varied UK sites
* Developing mitigation strategies and preparing development licence applications
* Contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments and biodiversity assessments
* Supporting and mentoring junior ecologists
* Liaising with clients, planning authorities and design teams
