Job Overview
In this role, you will make a difference by assisting and supporting all aspects of the Respiratory Lab service at the Royal United Hospital, in conjunction with the senior and lead clinical physiologist.
You will undertake technical and clinical reporting on assessments across lung function and sleep, including full lung function tests, six-minute walk tests, oral exhaled nitric oxide tests, skin prick tests, muscle pressure tests, mannitol testing, blood gas measurement, overnight oximetry, respiratory polygraphy sleep studies, and initiating CPAP and NIV on inpatients.
You will also participate in quality assurance, audit, research, and development programs.
Main duties of the job
1. Work across both the RUH and Sulis hospital sites.
2. Plan, undertake, and quality assure a range of simple, specialist, complex, and highly complex diagnostic assessments within the department.
3. Carry out and document calibration, maintenance, and quality control procedures for equipment to ensure accurate and safe performance.
