System Sales Manager - UK
Your tasks
The System Sales Manager (SSP) is responsible for system sales using a variety of sales techniques and support Kardex’s profitable growth strategy with finding new and binding existing customers in his/her sales area.
Responsibilities
1. Define potential customers (internal, external and system integrators) and industries under respect of the Kardex strategy and contact them
2. Clarify the customer’s needs, advise and prepare the appropriate system proposals including Kardex portfolio and third-party supplies.
3. Analyze the requirements and objectives of the customer’s in-house logistics structure
4. Consult customers regarding systems considering the entire Kardex portfolio including third party equipment
5. Develop suitable customer solutions and present them in a professional manner to the internal and external customer
6. Preparation of customer quotations together with Sales Support
7. Order and margin responsibility to achieve the company/personal targets
8. Technical and commercial project negotiation, project completion and handover to C3 (Realization)
9. Inquiry process with third-party supplier with support from Sales Support
10. Technical preparation, risk assessment, scheduling and overall calculation of projects
11. Bid/no bid evaluation
Your profile
Education:
12. Graduate degree (preferably logistics, management or mechanical engineering)
13. Preferably trained in Miller Heiman Sales Methodology
Relevant work-experience and specific knowledge:
14. Experience in the project planning of systems in need of explanation in the intralogistics environment
15. Comprehensive knowledge of intralogistics/logistics (including processes, order picking, conveyor technology, robotics)
16. In-depth knowledge of the Kardex Remstar portfolio, system equipment and knowledge about system related third-party equipment
17. Technical and commercial experience in development and negotiation of complex contracts
18. Electrical/mechanical/electronical experience
19. IT-skills for internet research, use of current communication tools and software (e. g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
20. Effective and professional customer communication with good presentation and negotiation skills
21. ERP-knowledge (for instance SAP)
22. Minimum 5 years of experience in technical product sales, preferably in the field of logistics/intralogistics
23. Professional risk management
24. Experienced CRM user, e.g. Salesforce
