Position Summary:
To proactively improve manufacturing equipment at the site
Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the development and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
* Commission new equipment to achieve the required safety and productivity rates.
* Make an effective contribution to improve product quality and operational performance.
* Assist skilled workers with hands on duties when required.
* Supervise other employees on the site.
* Work overtime as and when required.
* Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required
What we are looking for:
* Mechanically or Electrical bias also Multi skilled.
* An apprentice time served or graduate engineer.
* A qualified engineer to at least HNC level.
* Candidates should have experience in a similar role including a good knowledge of Electro - Pneumatic machinery which is PLC controlled.
* Experience in high volume manufacturing but not in heavy industry.
* A good appreciation of tight tolerances (0.1mm).
* Experience with technical document writing with respect to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC would be an advantage.
* Candidates will need to demonstrate good teamwork and problem solving skills as there is a need to work closely with others to successfully complete individual and plant objectives throughout the year.
