Assistant Facades Manager – Tier 1 Contractor Location: Edinburgh, Scotland Contract Type: Permanent We are partnering with one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 building contractors, currently delivering a landmark development in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. As the project progresses through its early stages, they are now seeking a motivated Assistant Facades Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project and gain invaluable experience alongside some of the most experienced professionals in the industry. You will support the Facades Manager in coordinating design, procurement, and delivery of a technically challenging façade package—ensuring quality, programme, and safety objectives are met throughout. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing façade subcontractors from tender stage through to installation and final handover. Support the review and coordination of technical drawings, specifications, and method statements. Collaborate with the design team, consultants, and supply chain to resolve interface and technical issues. Attend and contribute to progress and design meetings, facilitating clear communication across stakeholders. Monitor on-site activities, track key progress indicators, and help maintain adherence to programme milestones. Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety across all façade-related works. Ideal Candidate Previous experience with façade or envelope packages, either with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor. Solid technical knowledge of curtain walling, cladding systems, and façade interface coordination. Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Degree or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
