Position: HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer
Location: Millbrook Depot (Southampton, Hampshire)
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
Salary: £37,000 per annum

About The Role
We are seeking customer-focused individuals to join our Utility Division, working on the Southern Water contract to resolve wastewater and drainage issues.
* Travel to residential sites via HGV in a two-person team, using high-pressure water jets for restoration
* Maintain and clear drainage systems
* Accurately record job reports with specialist equipment
* Run diagnostics and repair drains
* Provide excellent customer service
* Follow health and safety practices during work
* Manage vehicle stock and supplies
* Comply with health and safety responsibilities, including PPE and site safety
* Utilize VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
* Operate JHL vacuum tankers and related equipment
* Access vehicle cabs and sites safely, following proper procedures
* Handle flexible pipework safely, using manual handling techniques
* Work independently in all weather conditions, using PPE or lone worker systems
* Assess site risks dynamically upon arrival
* Communicate with clients about processes and updates
* Support colleagues as needed
* Inspect tools and equipment before and after use, reporting defects
* Conduct risk assessments with a mature approach
* Follow company policies and responsibilities
* Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned

About You
The ideal candidate is hardworking, respectful, and safety-conscious. Experience with high-pressure jetting is helpful but not essential. Drainage qualifications like NRSWA or Confined Spaces are advantageous.
You must hold a HGV Class 2 license, have a CPC certificate, and an up-to-date digi tachograph card.
