The school supports up to 30 pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a central role in creating a nurturing, structured learning environment where every pupil is supported to succeed - academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities Work closely with teachers to deliver differentiated learning Support pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom Help students build confidence, independence, and emotional regulation Foster strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff Contribute to behaviour support plans and pastoral care Promote real-world learning and post-16 readiness Qualifications and Experience A calm, resilient and caring approach Experience working with children or young people (SEMH preferred) Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and complete relevant training A commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practice Enhanced DBS required (or willing to obtain one) SENDirect are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
