I’m looking for a skilled Contracts & Commercial Manager to take a lead role in managing commercial contracts, supporting bid activity, and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This is a high-impact role with broad scope, ideal for someone with solid experience in commercial or contract management, and a strong ability to work across technical and legal functions. ⚖️📄
🛠 Key Responsibilities:
1. ✍️ Lead contract drafting, review, and negotiation, including non-standard terms
2. ✅ Oversee regulatory compliance across UK and international jurisdictions
3. 🤝 Manage relationships with external legal adviser
4. 📑 Support complex bids by assessing commercial risk and contributing to tender responses
5. 🔄 Coordinate with Bid Team and Product Strategy to develop documentation
6. 📚 Maintain and update the contracts portfolio and bid response library
7. 🏛 Support export licence applications and liaise with government authorities
8. 📦 Assist with procurement contracts and corporate legal matters
🎯 What We're Looking For:
Essential:
9. 🎓 Degree-qualified (any discipline)
10. 📁 Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager
11. 👥 Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
12. 🗣 Strong written and verbal communication skills
13. 🔍 Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail
14. 👨⚖️ Able to manage legal adviser and regulatory input
15. 🗓 Strong organisation and deadline management.
Desirable:
16. ⚖️ Law degree or legal training
17. 🧾 Experience with public sector contracting (DEFCONs, FAR/DFARS, etc.)
18. 💻 Knowledge of SaaS and IP licensing contracts
19. 🔧 Background in technology or engineering sectors
20. 🌐 Experience with international jurisdictions and export compliance
