You will be working for an NHS Healthboard based in Swansea. The hospital offers on-site parking and is accessible via public transport links.
Your new role
1. Typing of clinical related documents from consultants’ dictations, including medical reports
2. Formatting, proofreading and issuing all clinical letters.
3. Taking telephone calls, answering patient queries and taking messages
4. Booking / amending patient clinic appointments
5. General housekeeping and filing
6. Liaising with patients to book appointments, answer patient queries and take messages for consultants.
7. General office support during annual leave periods
What you'll need to succeed
8. As a Medical Secretary, you will have a strong understanding and respect for confidentiality, with excellentmunication skills and the ability to work effectively in pressured/time-sensitive environment.
9. Previous experience of working in a medical secretary role and in a healthcare setting is essential.
What you'll get in return
You'll join a great team for an initial period of 4 months. The role pays £ per hour and there is flexibility to work full or part-time hours.
