We bring mobile expert vehicle repairs and service, straight to your doorThe Sales Manager will be responsible for the management of the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Teams.They are responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained and repaired in accordance with thePolicies and Procedures required and to ensure full Legal ComplianceThe manager must be able to:To effectively manage a Service department/function or a range of advanced tasks within a keyService function.To establish, implement and maintain effective policies and procedures and ensure the provision ofhigh quality service by the department.To effectively manage finances of the department including budget-setting, projections and/orbidding and claiming for external funding.To provide expert knowledge, advice and support to others within the Service, or to externalparties regarding the Service, and to ensure the provision of Specialist services in line with Serviceneeds.To represent the department/function at meetings and act as Service representative for externalinitiatives as required.To manage and/or participate in projects relating to Service development or to the specificfunction or department.To collate and analyse available data within Service systems and from best-practice informationand to identify trends/make recommendations based on available data.Specific Responsibilities1 To effectively manage the Vehicle Workshops and staff and ensure the provisionof services within the Department are in line with Service needs.2 Establish common practices across both Workshop facilities, ensuring consistentapproaches and standards are being maintained.3 Ensure all work is delivered to the required standard, in the required time and inthe most efficient manner possible.4 Ensure effective task prioritisation, scheduling, allocation, delivery and workrecord keeping systems are in place and working efficiently.5 To establish, implement and maintain effective procedures for administrativesystems including day-to-day financial administration and administrative planningfor the Workshops.6 Act as the nominated service representative for various DWFRS initiatives asrequired and as relevant to the role, to include attendance at National, Regionaland Local meetings and working groups. Initiate, lead or support any relevantproject work and/or process improvements which may arise as a result.7 To undertake project tasks or more specialised administrative work relating to thedepartment.8 To manage the collection, maintenance and integrity of data within Servicesystems and ensure the timely and accurate provision of information, includingthe preparation of key performance indicators as required.9 To deputise for the Fleet Manager as required.10 Ensure Workshop staff are all provided with appropriate training to maintainstandards of service delivery; plan training schedules including costings.11 Responsible for monitoring and developing the performance of directly reportingstaff, including conducting performance reviews and dealing with initial disciplineand grievance issues.12 In liaison with Workshop Supervisors, ensure parts stock is well managed acrossthe Workshops in a cost effective manner, with stock levels maintained andaccounted for.13 Have overall responsibility for Health & Safety within the Workshops, maintaininggood records and ensuring training is in date. Ensure COSHH databases areupdated and maintained for each site as required.14 Oversee the use of third party contractors and specialised repairers, to ensurethat all works are completed to required standards in a timely and efficientmanner.15 Manage and maintain the fleet management system, ensuring that all usersmaintain accurate and relevant data.16 Maintain, review and update Workshop procedures in response to changes inlegislation or business practice, in liaison with Fleet Manager and otherstakeholders17 Cover for other team members when required
