Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a number of Nursing Assistants – Immunisations within our Immunisation team in the Children & Families Health Team based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
Hours
This post is offered on a fixed term contract from Monday 14 September 26 until Friday 27 November 26. Hours of work will be a minimum of 20 hours and a maximum of 27.5 hours. Monday – Friday 0900‑1300 or 0900‑1500 depending on school size. Annual leave week 12‑16 October.
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What You Will Do
* Assist with setting up equipment prior to sessions.
* Support children before and after vaccination.
* Monitor stock of equipment bags at the end of sessions.
* Support delivery of the Flu Immunisation Programme within Primary Schools across the three localities within Ayrshire, working under direct supervision of the Band 5 staff immunisation nurses.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required
* Ability to work with people and as part of a team.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively within educational establishments.
* Previous community experience.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran may be able to offer visa sponsorship for certain roles, provided the post meets the minimum salary threshold and any other required criteria.
