We are recruiting for a HR consultant, ER specialist, on behalf of our client to work in the Sheffield area. This role is a full time contract working 8.45-5.00 Monday to Friday. This is initially until the end April 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage end-to-end employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
* Handle complex and high-risk cases with sound judgment and professionalism.
* Build strong relationships with trade unions and act as a trusted point of contact for negotiations and consultations.
* Partner with investigators and stakeholders to ensure fair, timely, and compliant outcomes.
* Provide expert advice to managers, guiding them through sensitive situations and ensuring consistency with policy and legislation.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in managing complex ER cases from start to resolution.
* Strong understanding of employment law and best practice.
* Ability to think on your feet, make informed decisions, and confidently reach outcomes.
* Skilled in stakeholder management and union engagement.
* Resilient, pragmatic, and solutions-focused with excellent communication skills
