Sterile Services Process Technician (Nights)

Sterile Services Process Technician – Decontamination (Permanent Nights) – Stoke Hospital Sterile Services Unit (ST5-7UF). Permanent, full-time. Up to £25,800.00 per annum. 37.5 hours a week, Nights + 30% enhancement, Monday to Friday 20:00pm - 04:00am.


Main duties of the job

* Disassemble, prepare and sterilise medical instruments ready for Theatre Surgery.
* Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard.
* Ensure all equipment is in good working order.
* Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults.
* Work with a friendly team.
* Take on training as required.
* Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
* Take action to resolve any problems and or escalate issues where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies and procedures.
* Handle manual handling duties up to 13 kg.
* Have strong attention to detail and desire to deliver high quality service.


Qualifications

* Evidence of sterile services training preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided.
* Computer literate.


Experience and skills

* Organised with good communication skills.
* Experience in sterile services environment a plus.
