Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst - Travel Retail EMA (Based London)
Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Estée Lauder Travel Retail Europe, Middle East & Africa to appoint an FP&A Analyst. This role will report to the Finance Director, Travel Retail EMA, and is based in our London office, with a hybrid working model (3 days in-office).
The FP&A Analyst supports financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities for the Travel Retail EMA region. The role works closely with the FP&A Manager and Finance Director to ensure accurate and timely financial data, variance analysis, and reporting to support operational and commercial objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Planning and Monthly Estimate
* Assist in preparing the annual budget and monthly estimates with brand teams and the Business Manager.
* Complete required schedules and upload data into the consolidation system.
* Support evaluation of financial impacts for long-range planning.
Monthly close
* Prepare accrual proposals
* Ensure accuracy of accounts and conduct variance analysis in line with corporate deadlines.
* Follow accounting principles and processes within brand teams.
* Support Finance Director / FP&A Manager with the monthly close.
Business Partnering & Performance Management
* Ensures relevant, accurate financial and commercial reporting is delivered to brand teams; including oversight of reporting issued by other brand teams / functions.
* Attends meetings with Cost Centre managers to review performance and forecast, ensuring gaps are identified & addressed and that forward forecast is correct
* Supports Finance Director / FP&A Manager with effective resource allocation, highlighting opportunities to reduce/optimise spend, looking at return on investment of specific initiatives and profitability across doors/channels/categories.
Qualifications
Key qualifications and competencies:
* Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
* Strong verbal & written communication skills
* Excellent Excel & Powerpoint skills
* Ability to effectively plan & prioritise work, meeting deadlines in fast paced environment with high level of first time accuracy
* Strong analytical skills, questions data & looks for root cause
* Strong team player
* Adaptable and willing to support change
