We are currently seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and professional Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance Team at Broadstairs.
The Assistant Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Finance function throughout a significant ERP implementation project. The role will combine core management accounting activities with active involvement in system transformation, process improvement and change management, ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust controls.
This exciting and challenging role requires strong accounting skills, a desire for continuous improvement, initiative and the ability to deal with a varied workload in a busy department.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Production of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
▪ Detailed variance analysis vs budget, forecast and prior periods.
▪ Assist with the ERP implementation and throughout the transition into the new system.
▪ Assist with the preparation of annual budgets.
▪ Preparation of fortnightly cash flow forecasting.
▪ Payroll for overseas employees.
▪ Intercompany transactions.
▪ Assist with annual audits for all companies.
▪ Assist with standard costing, cost reviews, and production variance reporting.
▪ Cover for Sales Ledger/Credit Control & Purchase Ledger.
▪ Any other ad hoc tasks as required.
YOUR PROFILE
▪ Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
▪ ACCA / CIMA qualified (part-qualified may be considered)
▪ Proficient user of finance software and Microsoft Office packages essential.
▪ Advanced Excel skills essential.
▪ Manufacturing background / experience with stock transactions essential.
▪ Experience with ERP implementation desirable.
▪ Experience dealing with annual audit processes essential.
▪ Experience of multi-currency transactions essential.
▪ Experience with inter-company transactions and reconciliations essential.
▪ Able to work under own initiative in a busy environment.
▪ Able to communicate effectively and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
▪ Be proactive, organised, and have excellent attention to detail.
▪ Team oriented.
▪ Calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task, deal with interruptions, work to tight deadlines, prioritise and work independently.
▪ Enthusiastic, confident and friendly personality.
▪ A good team player and a ‘can do’ attitude.
▪ Able to communicate effectively and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
▪ Must be within 45 minutes commute of Broadstairs CT10 2PT
