Hirexo are partnering with a leading business within the specialist property finance and peer-to-peer lending sector to recruit an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager. This is a hybrid role, with a base in Kent and national travel as required to build and manage broker relationships. About Our Client: Our client operates within the alternative finance space, offering secured property-backed lending solutions through a regulated peer-to-peer platform. With a growing network of broker and intermediary partners, the business is now looking to strengthen its sales capability with the appointment of a relationship-focused Business Development Manager. The Opportunity for the Business Development Manager: This is a strategic relationship management role focused on growing and developing new business opportunities through intermediaries, brokers, and introducers. You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts, enhancing brand reputation within the specialist lending market, and supporting the delivery of the company’s ambitious growth plans. Key Responsibilities: Deliver on agreed targets relating to mortgage applications, completions, and broker engagement. Manage and grow a panel of introducers, brokers, and intermediary partners across your region. Prepare and maintain tailored account management plans to drive engagement and performance from each intermediary. Act as the face of the business at industry events, trade shows, and broker meetings. Proactively support the development of lending propositions, providing market feedback and insights. Serve as the principal point of contact for broker accounts, resolving any issues and maintaining strong long-term relationships. Ensure timely, professional, and compliant communication with intermediaries in line with regulatory standards. Support the wider sales and underwriting team to ensure smooth operational delivery and excellent service. Maintain and report on performance metrics, ensuring clear accountability and continual improvement. What You’ll Need to Succeed: Proven experience in a sales or account management role within financial services, ideally specialist lending or property finance. Strong track record of working with brokers, introducers, or IFAs in a regulated environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build long-term commercial relationships. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a varied and dynamic workload. Confidence in representing the brand in external meetings and public-facing events. Educated to A-Level standard as a minimum; a degree is desirable. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and conduct risk in the lending space.
