OAK Multi Academy Trust is a flourishing Trust in Leicestershire with a family of five schools rooted in the values of Opportunity, Achievement and Kindness. The Trust currently operates academies across the age range from Foundation through to Key Stage 4 and has some of the highest performing outcomes in the country.

As the Director of People and Culture, you will lead and inspire the HR team, drive forward people-focused strategies, and ensure that our HR services support the Trust’s growth and sustainability.
About the role
As the Director of People and Culture, you will work closely with the Executive team to provide strategic and operational leadership across all HR services within the Trust. You will lead and develop a small, supportive and dedicated central HR team and school HR leads. The team support a community of approximately 430 employees, ensuring the delivery of high quality services in areas such as talent acquisition, employee development, policy development, HR systems, and workforce planning. Additionally, you will oversee complex employee relations cases and drive initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring a positive and inclusive culture throughout the Trust.
About you
We are seeking a passionate and experienced HR leader with a strong background in senior HR management. You will have a deep understanding of employment law and HR best practices, with proven experience managing complex employee relations issues and driving organisational change. Your ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders, unions, and external partners will be critical, alongside excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
