Role Purpose
The position holder will be responsible for growing AMI's Express business globally. The Global Head of Express Services will define and execute a growth-led strategy for the business unit globally, ensuring the organization and tools are fit for growth and for executing the growth strategy. You will manage and develop prospects and existing customers by building strong customer relationships and ensuring customer needs are recognized and met. You are expected to understand customer needs, contribute to developing our Express product offerings, and steer marketing and advertising of all Express products within the global network.
This position can be based in any of our European AMI locations.
What you will be doing
* Articulate and execute a global growth strategy for the express product
* Develop a 3-year business plan to include the rollout of express services in countries where we are not physically present yet
* Develop a clear strategy for an ecommerce offering
* Be responsible for developing Express business with the global network & commercial organization
* Work closely with the global head of eCommerce and exploit opportunities jointly
* Identify and source pipeline customer opportunities
* Support each region in producing rolling sales pipeline and report this monthly to the regional VPs and CEO
* Collaborate with Marketing to promote and sell the Express product for AMI globally

What we are looking for
* Self-motivated, disciplined and proven success in sales
* Personable with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with customers and suppliers at all levels
* Expert knowledge of airfreight and Express products and services
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong relationships with Express & integrator companies (DHL, FedEx, etc.)
* Track record in negotiating with suppliers and customers at all levels
