This is a hands-on, practical role focused on setting up test samples, operating test equipment, and supporting engineers in delivering accurate and repeatable test programmes.This role is well suited to someone with a strong interest in practical engineering, lab work, and equipment operation.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and set up test samples, fixtures, and test rigs.Operate laboratory test equipment under instruction.Monitor tests and record dataaccurately.Support engineers during test execution and troubleshooting.Carry out basic equipment checks and routine maintenance.Maintain a clean, safe, and organised laboratory environment.Follow test procedures, quality requirements, andhealthand safety standards.Assistwithreceiving, handling, and storing customer samples.Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and customers during test activities.Prepare documentation, test records, and technical reports under supervision.Support general lab tasks and workload asrequiredAll relevant training will beprovided.Essential Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceA practical technical qualification or sufficient experience in a technical practical roleStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityGood communicationskills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work as part of a team and follow technical instructionsAbility tomaintainconfidentiality relating to customers, data, and company activitiesWillingness to learn and take on new challengesBasic understanding of engineering principles relevant to mechanical, electrical or environmental testingKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint)Familiarity with testing activities in a laboratory or technical environmentDesirable Qualifications, Skills and ExperiencePreviousexperience in fabrication, welding, or electrical installationAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, or test requirementsComfortable working with tools, fixtures, and bespoke test rigsExperience with quality system documentation (e.g.test records, procedures, work instructions)Forklift license (or willingness to complete training training can be provided)We OfferA supportive team environment with structured training and mentoringOpportunities for professional development and career growthExposure to industry-leading engineering and testing practicesFree on-site parkingCompany eventsFriday lunches on us!WHJS1_NI
