The role’s purpose
This pivotal role will develop relationships, elevate Healthtech‑1’s reputation, and close significant public sector projects. You’ll position the company as a strategic capability for the NHS and the Department of Health and Social Care, making partnership a no‑brainer.
Who You Are
* Deep in NHS context – you understand how procurement and commissioning work, and you’ve spent 3+ years working in or with the public sector.
* A strategic closer – you’ve led complex public sector deals from relationship building to contract signature.
* A trusted communicator – you earn trust quickly and adapt effortlessly from boardroom pitch to WhatsApp nudge.
* A narrative shaper – you know how policy is made and how to frame ideas that move national agendas.
* A systems thinker – you track emerging signals, connect dots, and anticipate risks before they bite.
* Warm, clear and curious – driven by mission, energized by progress, and self‑directed in ambiguity.
Desirable to have
* 2+ years working in a fast‑paced startup or scale‑up.
* Domain knowledge of the NHS.
* Experience working in or alongside central government (e.g. DHSC, Cabinet Office, NHS England).
What The Role Involves – Day to day responsibilities
* Build and manage senior relationships across NHS England, DHSC and ICBs.
* Win high‑value public sector deals, owning the full lifecycle from targeting to contract close.
* Shape and influence the policy landscape, track live funding and priorities, and craft a narrative that positions Healthtech‑1 as a strategic solution.
* Stay ahead of risk and opportunity by monitoring emerging policy, funding or stakeholder shifts.
* Establish Healthtech‑1 as a trusted strategic capability through evidence, storytelling and high‑quality delivery.
* Represent the company at roundtables, advisory groups and strategic briefings with clarity and usefulness.
Core Objectives
* Win public sector partnerships.
* Deliver 1–2 new NHS partnerships (e.g. national procurement, NHS app).
* List Healthtech‑1 on at least one national procurement framework.
* Maintain a visible and active pipeline of qualified public sector opportunities.
* Position Healthtech‑1 as a strategic capability.
* Create and deploy 6 thought‑leadership pieces per year around national priorities.
* Build 5–10 trusted relationships with senior NHS and DHSC officials.
* Ensure our narrative is reflected in 3+ strategic forums.
* Maintain an active risk log and guide team responses to procurement blocks or political shifts.
