Job description
Our client, a leader in the energy sector, is currently seeking an Authorised Person - Senior Electrical Engineer (upto 132kv) to join their team. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in high voltage (HV) electrical engineering within a dynamic and forward-thinking company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards for HV electrical systems
2. Carrying out inspections, testing, and maintenance on HV equipment
3. Authorising and overseeing work on HV systems to ensure safety and efficiency
4. Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
5. Developing and implementing HV safety procedures and protocols
6. Ensuring all work is documented according to industry standards
7. Collaborating with project managers to deliver electrical projects on time and within budget
8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and standards
Job Requirements:
9. Experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the energy sector
10. Strong understanding of HV systems and safety procedures
11. Proficiency in conducting inspections, testing, and maintenance on HV equipment
12. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
13. Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians
14. Strong communication and documentation skills
15. Relevant electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification
16. Certification or authorisation as an HV Senior Electrical Engineer is highly desirable
