Assistant Design Manager (Oxfordshire / Multi-Sector) Salary: Up to £45,000 package The Role: This isn’t your desk-bound design job. As an Assistant Design Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of a multi-disciplinary construction business, helping shape projects from concept through to completion. The work spans commercial, education, healthcare, conservation, and residential sectors - and we’re looking for someone who cares deeply about design and delivery. What You’ll Be Doing: Supporting the design management team through technical and architectural coordination Working closely with site teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure design intent is realised Helping to drive sustainable design solutions (low carbon, long life, low waste) - because that’s how we think at this company Producing and reviewing design drawings, drawings schedules, and information packs Managing design risk and design-related contractual obligations Who You Are: You’ve worked in design, architecture, or a similar role (or have a relevant qualification) and want to move into construction delivery Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident liaising with both design and construction teams A problem solver - you enjoy turning design challenges into practical, buildable solutions Passionate about collaboration: this isn’t solo architect work - it’s team-based, cross-discipline, and employee-owned Why This Role?
