An exciting opportunity has been created within Youth Support to provide open access support to young people of Bridgend. The successful candidate will manage one of our youth centres within the county, managing a team of youth workers and ensuring the delivery of a needs‑led provision that meets the needs of young people in line with the five aims identified in the Youth Work Strategy for Wales.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a needs‑led provision for young people in line with the Youth Work Strategy for Wales.
* Manage one youth centre, including supervising a team of youth workers.
* Ensure provision meets the needs of young people and aligns with the five aims identified in the Youth Work Strategy for Wales.
* Work a minimum of 2 evenings and a maximum of 4 evenings per week, with occasional weekend work.
* Operate in various settings including street‑based services as required.
* Provide open access support to young people of Bridgend.
Requirements
* Full valid driving licence.
* Ability to greet customers using Welsh.
* Enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred list.
* Commitment to protecting children, young people or adults at risk.
* Weekend working required.
* Must be available during term time.
