Job Description
People Operations Coordinator (12 Month FTC)
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Hawkwood are proud to be partnering with a world-class, mission-led AI and Biotech organisation operating at the cutting edge of science and innovation. This is a business driven by purpose, curiosity and impact, where culture is taken seriously and People truly sit at the heart of everything they do.
We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join their People team on a 12 month FTC. This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior to mid-level People Ops professional who is hungry to learn, eager to take ownership, and excited by the idea of working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment alongside some seriously impressive minds.
This role offers broad exposure across People Operations, partnering closely with People Partners, supporting employees across the business, and playing a key role in keeping People processes running smoothly and compliantly. If you’re looking to build a long-term career in HR and want a role that will genuinely stretch and develop you, this one is not to be missed.
Here’s a taste of what you can expect to be doing in the role:
* Acting as the first point of contact for People-related queries, supporting employees with policies, processes and day-to-day questions
* Supporting People Partners with core HR administration, including documentation, ER process support and coordination
* Owning the accuracy and integrity of People data, maintaining the HRIS and supporting reporting and insights
* Getting involved in People projects, supporting initiatives that improve ways of working, systems and employee experience
* Helping to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency across the People function
You will be a good fit if you have:
* 1-3 years experience in a People Operations, HR Administrator or Coordinator role
* A genuine ambition to build a career in HR and develop as a People generalist
* Experience working with HR systems and confidence picking up new tools quickly
* Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
* Excellent communication skills and the discretion to handle sensitive information with care
* An interest in working in a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative environment
This is a brilliant stepping stone role for someone early in their People career who wants meaningful exposure, responsibility and development within a high-calibre People team.
