The post is available at advanced fellow/Registrar level and is available from September 2025. The post combines clinical IBD with research. You will be able to work in a well-functioning multidisciplinary team environment and receive exposure to complex IBD management, clinical and translational research, and networking opportunities with leaders in IBD nationally and internationally. It is expected that part of the research will be on a defined project. The post may offer opportunities to spend time with collaborator institutions in the UK and Canada based on specific research projects. This position is also suitable for Post-CCT Fellowship for successful applicants. The post will be under the supervision of Professor Sebastian within the IBD service in the Department of Gastroenterology.
The initial duration is one year, with potential extension to three years subject to annual review based on satisfactory work and progress. Applicants must have MRCP UK or equivalent, be on the GMC register with a license to practice, or be eligible for the same. The post may carry partial recognition for Higher Specialist Training.
Clinical commitments include up to four to six clinical sessions, including IBD clinics and endoscopy. The remaining sessions will be dedicated to IBD research.
