The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an entry-level Biomedical Engineer to join a respected medical equipment service provider. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to start or grow their career in biomedical engineering. You will support the maintenance and management of medical equipment in a clinical environment, contributing to the safe and effective operation of healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on a range of medical devices in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Support repair and troubleshooting activities on biomedical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Accurately complete service documentation using the internal asset management system.
Maintain tools, test equipment, and inventory in accordance with internal procedures and industry regulations.
Work collaboratively with clinical staff and third-party engineers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Adhere to health and safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment.
Travel may occasionally be required within the region to support other clinical sites.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
Degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a related field.
Understanding of engineering principles related to the maintenance and servicing of medical equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a clinical setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel).
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Desirable:
Experience working in a healthcare environment.
Awareness of medical device safety standards and compliance regulations.
Exposure to medical equipment servicing during academic study or placement year.
Additional Requirements
An Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required prior to employment.
