The Role
As a Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of robust backend systems powering complex industrial applications. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure software is reliable, scalable, and built to high engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the architecture and design of scalable backend systems using C# and .NET
* Contribute to hands‑on development across the backend stack
* Guide technical decision‑making and promote best engineering practices
* Mentor and support engineers across the development team
* Collaborate with product, systems, and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions
* Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across core platforms
Required Experience
* Strong commercial experience with C# / .NET backend development
* Experience designing large‑scale or complex software systems
* Strong understanding of software architecture and system design
* Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership
* Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, testing, and cloud or distributed systems
* Experience within industrial, engineering, or technical software environments
* Knowledge of high‑performance systems, data processing, or simulation software
* Exposure to cloud platforms or microservices architectures
