Your Role: Machinist
As a Machinist at DPC, you will play a vital role in our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Reading process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
* Locating and downloading programs from a DNC storage system.
* Identifying, selecting, and installing the proper tooling for various operations.
* Calculating feeds and speeds for different materials, including steel, copper, and aluminum.
* Performing quality inspections and adhering to applicable quality systems.
* Applying Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
* Maintaining a clean and organized workspace while supporting best practices for safety and quality.
* Actively participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and a time-served background in machining.
* Relevant Health and Safety awareness, with previous experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
* Experience with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, and Haas.
* Proficiency in precision inspection equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
* The ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm.
* A self-motivated attitude with strong facilitation skills in a team setting.
* A commitment to integrity, respect, and customer focus.
Qualifications
We prefer candidates with:
* An HNC in Engineering.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lean-manufacturing environment.
