Job description
We are seeking a passionate and driven sous chef to join the team at The Castle Edge Hill. The ideal sous chef will have extensive experience in high volume, quality-driven kitchens; able to maintain high standards whilst delivering outstanding guest experiences. As a sous chef you will work closely with the head chef, creating seasonal menus, blending classic pub fare with innovative chef-led cuisine using the freshest local ingredients.

Sous Chef Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, supervising and managing all kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation.
* Assist with development of seasonal menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and quality control in compliance with all health regulations.
* Manage all food stock, supplier relationships, and purchasing to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
* Lead and train a team of chefs alongside the head chef.
* Work collaboratively with FOH management to ensure a seamless service experience.
* Control food cost and labor budgets, reduce waste, and maximize profitability.
* Lead by example in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
